| 06/05/2009 | The miracle twins have arrived. |
Latest news from the Donkey Sanctuary is that Lola has produced her twins!! Yes, the miracle twins have arrived AND survived which is amazing. They were three weeks premature and were like two little ragdolls lying in a heap, but with a great deal of intensive care during their first few days they are now up and running and growing on well. As for Lola well she is glowing and so happy!! Twins are very very rare and normally do not survive so we do feel very blessed to have these two adorable girlies with us. They are named Dolores and Delicia and they are true to their names. Dolores is very much a lady and Delicia well she is just delicious! They absolutely love all the Sunday visitors and run forward to greet them on arrival. They were imprinted at birth and this makes all the difference to their upbringing and their handling in future years. Hopefully you will be able to visit them when you are next in Spain. |
